FIFA renews partnership with Qatar Stars League and Qatar Football Association

FIFA has renewed its partnership with the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and the Qatar Football Association (QFA) as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen domestic football and raise professional standards.

The renewed Memorandum of Understanding was signed at Lusail Stadium on Qatar National Day ahead of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025™ final between Jordan and Morocco. Under the agreement, FIFA President Gianni Infantino signed the MoU with QSL and QFA President His Excellency Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain to enhance professional club management and administration across Qatar’s first- and second-division clubs.

The next phase of the collaboration will focus on educational programmes, including knowledge exchange initiatives for club managers and agents, alongside improved support systems for player well-being and mental health. The partnership also aims to promote sustainable growth and competitiveness in club football.

The renewed agreement extends a cooperation first launched in 2022 and builds on Qatar’s continued role in hosting major international tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup 2022™, FIFA Arab Cup 2025™, FIFA Intercontinental Cup™ and the expanded FIFA U-17 World Cup™ in 2025.
