FIFA and Sports Interactive have announced the launch of the FIFAe Club World Cup featuring Football Manager, set to debut in 2026. The new competition will introduce a club-based esports format to Football Manager for the first time.
The event will allow football clubs from around the world to compete for global esports honours, with players representing their favourite teams in a competitive digital football environment. The tournament will focus on strategic management, long-term squad building and tactical expertise.
The FIFAe Club World Cup builds on the success of the inaugural Football Manager esports event held in Liverpool in 2024, which received widespread praise and industry recognition for its innovative format.
An expanded global qualification system will be introduced in 2026, enabling clubs worldwide to identify their official representatives. Clubs can register through FIFA.GG, with further competition details to be announced in early 2026.
The tournament becomes the latest addition to FIFAe’s growing esports and gaming ecosystem, following the FIFAe Finals 25 held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
