World Rugby has confirmed a long term extension of its official apparel partnership with Macron, securing the Italian brand’s role through to 2029. The agreement builds on a collaboration that has been in place since 2022 and continues to focus on delivering high-performance, innovative and sustainable apparel across the international rugby landscape.
As part of the renewed deal, Macron will continue as an official sports apparel supplier for Rugby World Cup tournaments and as the official match official kit supplier to World Rugby. The partnership will span some of the sport’s flagship events, including the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029 in Australia, along with World Rugby’s annual competitions such as the HSBC SVNS Series.
Macron will remain responsible for providing technical and athleisure apparel for World Rugby match officials, staff and volunteers, as well as producing official tournament merchandise. The Macron Hero logo will continue to feature prominently at World Rugby’s top-tier competitions, maintaining the brand’s visibility at elite level events.
The agreement also covers the continued supply of Emirates World Rugby Match Official uniforms, including specially designed kits tailored for female match officials. All match official apparel will be produced using eco-friendly fabrics made entirely from recycled materials, aligning with broader sustainability objectives within the sport.
The extended partnership reflects Macron’s extensive involvement in rugby at both international and club levels, including its long standing association with European Professional Club Rugby competitions. The renewal ensures stability and consistency in official apparel provision during a key phase for global rugby, marked by major tournaments and expanding international audiences.
