National Lottery Operator Allwyn to Lead Volunteer Training at Glasgow 2026

Glasgow – National Lottery operator Allwyn has been appointed as the Official Volunteer Learning and Development Partner for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The Games will take place in Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August, with more than 3,000 volunteers supporting event operations, transport, media, athlete services, and ceremonies. Allwyn will provide training through a dedicated online portal and in-person sessions to prepare volunteers for their roles.

The partnership is backed by Allwyn’s £1 million Social Value Fund, which supports initiatives aligned with the company’s environmental and social commitments. Allwyn employees will also participate as volunteers during the Games.

High-profile athletes, including Scotland track and field medallist Eilidh Doyle and para-cyclist Fin Graham, will act as ambassadors to highlight the role of volunteers.

Allwyn’s Social Value Fund has previously supported volunteering programmes at the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 and Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, providing training and development opportunities for thousands of participants.

The volunteer programme for Glasgow 2026 will include post-event evaluation to assess impact and the continuation of benefits beyond the Games.
