Sonam, Sara and Bishow Shine at National Junior Tennis Finals

Kathmandu— The final day of the Flash Sports National Junior Tennis Championship saw thrilling performances as Sonam Chiring Ghale, Sara Pant, and Bishow Bisesh Dallakoti claimed gold in their respective categories.

At the Flash Sports Tennis Academy in Chyasindol, Budhanilkantha, Sonam dominated the U-10 Boys Singles final, defeating Aston Shrestha 6–4, 6–4 to secure his first title. In the U-12 Girls Singles, Sara overwhelmed Arya Paudel 6–1, 6–0, winning her second individual gold after already capturing the U-14 Girls Singles crown earlier in the tournament.

The U-14 Boys Singles final was dramatic as Bishow claimed victory after Aryashraj Paudel retired hurt in the decisive third set. Bishow had taken the first set 6–3, Aryash won the second 6–1, and the match ended with Bish0w leading 1–0 in the third.

On the same day, Sange Rokaya won the U-16 Boys Singles title after receiving a walkover against Asabh Samrat Hada.

The tournament, sanctioned by the Nepal Tennis Association, featured 15 events, including doubles competitions. Other champions included Swastika Bista (U-16 & U-18 Girls Singles), Sarvaj Jung Khatri (U-8 Boys Singles), Bhani Rajbhandari (U-8 Girls Singles), Ayushman Hajur Ghale (U-18 Boys Singles), Tonis Shrestha (U-9 Boys Singles), Nimti Kunwar (U-10 Girls Singles), Arit Malla (U-12 Boys Singles), and the pair Darsil Shrestha & Asabh Samrat Hada (Boys Doubles).

Winners were awarded by Nepal Tennis Association President Manohardas Mul, tournament coordinator Krishnaraj Ghale, and Nepal’s top-ranked player Pradeep Khadka. The five-day inaugural edition of the championship saw participation from 147 young athletes across the country.
